So, I remember my second post to this blog was made on November 24, and it was a longer post telling about our cause.  Now, the four of us were considering a website at one time but decided against it.  A lot of organizations have an "About Us" section on their website.  However, we don't, because this is a blog not just a general website.  So what we'll do is that if you have questions for us, please ask them in the comments and we will answer them.  I try to check this blog every day and will try to give you an answer as soon as I'm able.  I'm not asking you to ask questions, I just want to advertise that we will accept them and answer them.  Thank you, and have a great day! ~ Chandler S.

O Come, O Come, O Bibles

During the Christmas season is a great time to collect Bibles!  As a little addition to my Christmas list this year, I put that I was accepting donations of Bibles and explained a little bit about our cause.  I'm wondering if we'll get any donations.  When my family gathers together at my grandparents' house on Christmas Eve, I'll be bringing a box for donations. 

Have you ever thought about starting your own Bible collection?  Well, if you haven't and you're not a Christian, have you ever thought that you may be affected by a Bible someone has provided you with someday?  Have you ever seen a Bible from the Gideons International in a hotel, waiting room or school?  If you have and you don't know the Lord, have you ever read that Bible that you've seen?  The Gideons International is an organization which does pretty much the same thing as us, only in much (much!) larger quantities.  You can find further information at the web address I've posted below.*  What happens, though, is people can send in a donation of money, and the Gideons will place a Bible in a hotel room, school, office building, doctor's office or whatever.  Each Bible costs $5, and last year in memory of this Mr. Buckley, the four of us made a donation of $25 to the Gideons International.  Therefore, 5 Bibles were placed in his honor.  You send in $50, 10 Bibles are placed, you send in $60, 12 Bibles are placed, and so on.  Consider making a donation to them or starting a Bible drive of your own.  It could positively affect someone someday.  So give it a try!
